What are the different ways in which Tillys parents could have reacted to her behaviour? What would you have done if you were in their place?


Answer: Tilly predicted the tsunami threat right away. She burst out laughing. Her parents didn't turn a blind eye to her. They were certain that something bad was about to happen. As a result, they all fled the shore and were rescued.

On the other hand, Tilly's parents, may have behaved differently by ignoring her terrified behaviour. If they had tried to soothe her down, they would have most likely been swept away by the tidal waves.

If I had been in a similar scenario, I would have carefully listened to Tilly and recognised that a danger was approaching, and I would have rushed to the hotel by fleeing the beach.
